New Feature - EP-4578 Communication templates - custom footer

Overview

We have added some new functionality to allow you to create a custom email footer this is in release 5.27.0.

Changes to Functionality

This new functionality will allow you to create a new custom email footer this can be located via the System Management → Communication Templates header, by clicking the Email Footer button.

There is a toggle that will allow the footer to be used/not used and a text area that allows for HTML or text to be entered (in the same way emails can be customised).

Footer Content page with Toggle enabled.

We have also included a preview tab that allows the footer to be previewed.

It is not, currently, possible to view any images included in the footer (or custom email setups), but they can be seen in any test email that is sent (for instance the Password Reset email).

To add the image, this works the same as it does for the communication editor, in that you need to use the Image icon and then select a URL where the image is uploaded to link it.

select the image icon

Enter a link to where the logo is stored e.g. a .jpg or .png file that is saved on a website. For example I used the one from our Skilltech Solutions site.

https://www.skilltechsolutions.co.uk/hubfs/Skilltech Logo_RGB (1).png

I located the URL by right clicking on the logo, choosing Open Image in New tab and grabbing the URL

Confirm the image, you can if you wish add a description or not.

Please note that any images that are added to the footer, must be accessible to email clients and therefore cannot be linked to your epaPRO environment.

It will then appear at the end of the email as per this example.
