Definition of apprentice statuses
Status | Usage | Change Log status_id |
On-programme (pre-gateway approval) | An active apprentice in training, must be changed back to this status once an apprentice returns from a suspended state. | 1 |
Suspended | A temporary status that can be used, for example if the apprentice has broken their leg and so will be returning to epa. | 2 |
Cancelled | The apprentice isn't going to complete their end point assessment for whatever reason and so wont be coming back. | 3 |
Withdrawn | We advise this can be used for apprentices that may have been registered on the wrong standard, they can be withdrawn and then started on a new programme | 4 |
Completed | Apprentice has completed all assessments and is pending final certification | 5 |
Certified | Apprentice is certified and has been submitted to the ESFA where appropriate. | 6 |
Back Into Learning | Apprentice has been approved to go back into learning and an earliest date of return is specified at this point. Whilst in this status:-

Null | Not assigned a status | 8 |
Retake Review | Can be set if the apprentice fails a component and requires potentially more training and putting back into learning by adding a Fail with a Next Action of Retake Review. This is the review process prior to this to determine if this would be necessary or not. If the status is approved then the apprentice will go into Back Into Learning. | 9 |
