New Feature - EP-3750 Side Drawer Enhancements

Loaded live in Release 5.08.0 on Apr 25, 2023 Side Drawer - Ability to Pin and Minimise Content

New functionality has been added to the side drawer. The side drawer can now be minimised or pinned to the side of the window. This is designed to allow you to interact with the page under the side drawer without closing or resetting the side drawer and losing any information you have may have added or need to keep handy.

Usage:

When opening the side drawer, for example when selecting an apprentice from the search bar, you will see a new button in the top right with our ellipsis 3 dots menu icon. Clicking this button will open a sub-menu with 3 options available.

These options and the functionality of each is listed below:

  • Pin - Clicking this button will lock the side drawer to the side of the page and allow you to interact with the page behind the side drawer without closing the it. For example you could highlight, copy information from the page behind and paste into the side drawer.

  • Minimise - If your view of the page behind is obstructed by the side drawer, but you don’t want to close it, you can click the minimise button which will hide the side drawer off the page. You will also see a tab on the top right of the poge with the title of the minimised side drawer. Clicking this tab will re-open the side drawer.

  • Close - This button will close the side draw.

Please Note: Currently you can only have one side drawer tab at a time, meaning that if you open a new side drawer, whilst another is active, the previous side drawer will be closed and the new one opened.
